When No One’s Watching

When my daughter was little, we had a silly little tradition of pushing the furniture aside in our living room and dancing around and singing with our favorite CD’s (Jewel, Alanis, sometimes even a little Backstreet Boys per my daughter’s request) until we were plum worn out! Those are some of the best memories I have, and I hold them close to my heart.

Sometimes, when I have the whole condo to myself and no one is watching, I’ll relive those moments, spinning, shaking and twirling to the beat of my favorite songs. It’s a carefree feeling that just soothes the heart and soul.

I think the world would be a much better place if we all did a little dancing when no one’s watching.

The outfit I’m wearing in today’s post carries over that whimsical, carefree feeling with it’s softly textured half sweater and flowing gypsy skirt. Both of these comfy Second Life fashions can be found at the Boho Culture Fair happening now through October 31.

Boho Culture Fair: Like a Daydream

With all of the chaos in my life over the last year 1/2, I have drifted away from my musical roots. Perhaps if I’d clung to them a little more tightly, the turmoil would have been less damaging. But… I digress. A friend and fellow blogger, Billy, has helped me rediscover my passion for music and naturally it is flowing over into my little creative space here.

When choosing the song to compliment this outfit, I couldn’t help but go for a more 60′s vibe with a modern twist. Kind of like the outfit itself. Mirror Enigma did a lovely job on the dress and boots, creating lovely textures and shading that compliment the mesh modeling perfectly. The Step-Inside skin is just sweet. I fell in love with it instantly and with a touch of S U G A R’s blush, it gave me the apple cheeked, glowing look I was going for. The skin and the outfit are both available at the Boho Culture Fair going on right now. The adorable dog tags from Maxi Gossamer are available at the CINEMA event, also happening as we speak!

Boho Culture Fair is OPEN!

Sorry for the tease the other day, I could have sworn it started this weekend. But, alas, I was wrong. Sue me. OR just get your cute little tushy there right now and spend whatever you have left over after glutting yourself at CINEMA over the weekend!

This cute little outfit is from ArisAris and is available RIGHT NOW at the Boho Culture Fair. On my little feet I’m wearing part of another outfit from the fair that I’ll be blogging at a later date. *winks*

This beautiful skin from Modish is another gem you can pick up at the BCF. I love the way it glows! The teary sad eyes are a creation from one of my favoritess, Izzie Button. Izzie’s creations really do so much to add depth and emotion to our avatars. I love them!
