Busted and Bustin’ Out the Goodies!

Hi guys, I have been a baaaaad blogger by neglecting you, but believe me it was a much needed break. I am all rested up and ready to tackle the upcoming holidays!

The Scene

Here I am, totally busted while pigging out at the beautiful new Autumn Harvest Decor table from [Circa]. Simply click on one of the tasty treats on the table and you will receive a goodie of your very own. You can nom nom nom away all through the holidays!

The Outfit

Today’s outfit is a hodge podge from different shops that I know and love and some new one’s too. D!va hair has fast become one of my favorite places for hair, and I’ve worn this Jina style for blogging before, but I keep going back to it because it’s so sweet and fresh. I’ve added the latest XY Room headband offering from .charme. to give it a festive touch. I just love it! My tunic is from Mimi Noire. Mimi Noire is a newer shop to me, and I am anxious to see what other goodies will come from them. My necklace is from Maxi Gossamer. Honestly, I gush about Maxi’s stuff so much here and on Plurk, I don’t think there is really any more I can say except that her work is fantabulous! I was first introduced to Apparence skins by one of Strawberry Singh’s blog posts and I have been a fangirl ever since. Each release is more lovely than the last, and the lips are just to die for. The pants are from J.H. Couture. I find myself wearing J.H. Couture almost daily, Jada is my goto designer for gorgeous, wearable and fashionable everyday clothing. Now for the boots. THESE BOOTS… are my new love affair. GoS has outdone himself, really. I love them so much that despite the dent in my pocketbook, I had to buy them in 2 colors!

The Scary Side of Second Life Fashion

I was out shopping the other day, dressed to the nine’s in my new J.H. Couture Nadine dress, when it appears I took a wrong turn down a very scary alley.

All of a sudden the sun got a little dimmer, and the alley got a lot quieter. A light mist began dusting the grungy road beneath my suede L’Aph heels. I stopped, and listened to the wind howl and felt a shiver creep up my spine.

Love Me…

As I’ve said in the past, in one form or another, we all have the same need and desire to be loved. It doesn’t necessarily mean we all want to be IN love… romantic love is not the only variety.

Here at Unapologetic Second Life Fashion Blog, we’re serving up multiple flavors of the love today. First and foremost is a love for ourselves! This one seems to be the hardest to come by, and even if you are one of the lucky few who can navigate through the sea of self doubt, you’re reluctant to admit it for fear of being considered vain. I’m thinking we need to get off that kick right now and say “to hell with what they think” and truly learn to love ourselves for the flawed, and perfectly imperfect people that we are.

Ready for a little more love? How about friendship? To me, friendship is the strongest type of love. It’s not wishy washy and fickle like romantic love can be and true friendships last through all the ups, downs, sideways and corkscrews that life throws at us. Sometimes you serendipitously meet random people, form an instant bond and just know that they will be in your life for a long, long time. I have made some incredibly good friends in SL over the past 4 years, and wouldn’t trade any of them for anything in the world.

Speaking of friends, my friend Krisy, creator of Picture Me Pretty Poses, made the adorable poses I’m using in these shots. There are 4 super cute poses in the pack, which is called Love Me, and you can pick it up on the marketplace!
