I’ve just started a fun new dealy over at [SL] Blogger Support called Inspire Me. Basically each week I’ll put out a list of blog prompts, one for each day, with the hopes of encouraging people to blog daily, or at least to get them over a hump if they’re stuck.

Monday’s prompt for this week is “Unforgettable Quotes.” Usually I’m all over the place with inspirational and encouraging quotes, but the photos I took have inspired me to lean more towards the comical side of the fence this time. My friend Krisy helped me pick out a suitable quote and I think you will be pleased with the choice. *giggles*

Something Wicked This Way Comes

I really seem to be at a loss for words lately. For some reason I sit down to write, and the words just won’t come. However, I still feel the inspiration to take photos and visually share what is going through my mind.

I hope you all aren’t disappointed in my lack of writing these days. But, it is what it is.

Today I’m sharing with you a beautifully sleek black dress by Haste that is available until October 31st at the CINEMA event. The skin I’m wearing is Izzie’s offering for the Costume Ball event hosted by The Ego Co. it’s a wicked version of her new FuYu skin (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE). The skin came with an assortment of dark and devious lipsticks and lip glosses.

This past week Anymore released their version of Sugar Skull face tattoos to celebrate Día de losMuertos, or the day of the dead.

And one last FUN mention today! Available at a special price for Lazy Sunday (today only) is the new Picture Me Pretty halloween group pose called Trick or Treat! Personally I am in love with this pose and was fortunate enough to be asked to take the vendor photo, so here it is!

Who Will Tell My Fairy Tale?

“Every man’s life is a fairy tale written by God’s fingers. ” Hans Christian Andersen I love that quote. To me that means that inside each of us is a story, if we are just brave enough to let it be told. I’m trying to work up the courage to tell my tale, the beautiful and the sordid. It’s a scary thought… to lay one’s soul bare for all to see. I’m hoping to sign up for a writers retreat this Winter and reach inside the dark crevices of my mind and extract those memories and string them all together. I’ll let ya know how that works out.

So, back to fashion. How cute is this hair from D!va? I am really in love with it. I just keep thinking of all the fun I can have by adding different hair ornaments to it! The shirt/dress is a sweet little thing from Anymore Flowery mesh shirt/dress for XY Room. In the photo above I paired it with the Giselle Mesh Cardigan from J.H. Couture so you can see how it will easily migrate from season to season. Now, about this skin from AUX. I saw a preview photo of it on Plurk and could hardly wait to get inworld to grab it up! The skin and hair are currently available at October’s Collabor88! Hurry and get them before they’re gone!

I know, I know I said I was on vacation but, I had taken this photo before my mom got here and I needed a little creative therapy tonight.

Since we’re all getting into the festive Halloween mood, I did a little horror film photo for today’s outfit. i swear, the THINGS I do for the sake of BLOGDOM! Looks like I got a little too “jiggy with it” on the sofa and the springs popped out and impaled me. Talk about a sucky day, huh?

The cute mesh hoodie dress that is now permanently stained with my very own type-A is a newer release from Anymore. The hair is a super cute group gift from Vanity Hair, and my sweet pink mousey ears are one of the Arcade Gacha items from AUX.

Now, is there a doctor in the house? I need to be resurrected in time to blog for Cinema!!!

Fly Me! Fly Me!

“Fly me!” I said. “Are you sure?” he said. “Yes, yes, doooo eeeet!” I cried with all of the impulsive nature of a child. All of my more endearing child-like tendancies got the best of me today, as Jake and I enjoyed the last few weekends of summer at the beach. “Fly me!” I said. So he did!

Thank goodness he endures my many moods, and takes them all in stride. He also lets me play dress-up with him when I need a male model. He’s quite a catch don’t you think? So here’s a little “thank you” for being so wonderful. Thank you Jake, I <3 you!

Transitional Seasons

Transitional seasons are always my favorite. Winter to Spring, Spring to Summer, Summer to Fall… the temperatures always seem to be ideal. In RL, our temperatures keep fluctuating between scorching hot, and hot and humid. Not so fun! Today, however, was a perfect 75 degrees and I loved every single minute of it.

There’s nothing like walking through the park, as the leaves turn and taking in the hint of crispness in the air.

The Floral mesh dress from Anymore, although it’s sleeveless, is decorated with the colors of fall, and is the perfect transitional dress for the change of season. Accented with the Lydia necklace and earrings from Maxi Gossamer (which are color change, btw. Gotta love that!) bring the look together. My Backstage hair in Noisette is a group gift from Vanity Hair and comes in about a million and a half colors, and the bows are color change as well. And yes, I still haven’t been able to put shoes over my cool mesh feet from Skifija. I know you’re tired of seeing my naked piggies, but I just can’t help it!! Plus, the cool leaves feel pretty awesome between my toes right now!

Schooling Bessie with Anymore, XY Room and Back of the Closet Mash (BOCM)

I guess I’m kind of in “Back to School” mode lately. I can’t help myself. When I was a kid I always LOVED getting ready for the school year to start. I didn’t love starting school, mind you, just the preparations leading up to it. The school clothes shopping, new shoes and, my personal and very private obsession, new school supplies! Come on, you know you’re with me!

Anywhoooo, I thought this cute little jumper from Anymore was the perfect first day of school outfit. I paired it with pieces (shirt, shoes, legwarmers, glasses and tights) from an older outfit I had in the back of my closet (would this constitute a BOCM? Maybe?) I love the texturing and shading on all of these items and I thought they complimented each other very well.

When looking for a perfect school setting, I had to do some extensive research. I mean, do you know how many school settings in SL are XXX? It’s seriously unbelievable! A lot of reform schools in SL. Apparently. *coughs*

I finally found this beautiful sim called the Principality of Picklefish that had a tiny little schoolhouse, complete with a little mascot. Meet Bessie, isn’t she darling?

Bessie and I became fast friends and she even posed for a shot with me. What a little cutie-patootie, huh? However, she did try and eat my smiley face button. We had words, she apologized and we’re totally BFF’s now.
