Well to be fair, the new snow-globe pose/prop from Icons of Style isn’t tiny – it’s big – but that song was stuck in my head the entire time I was shooting these photos. Oh, and it’s available only at XY Room until the December round is over. I was in love with it as soon as I saw it. It has like a bazillion poses (well, not a bazillion but, really it has a bunch!) and is just so beautiful I actually just sat and watched it snow for a while.

The cute outfit is a Winter Fair exclusive from Isis appropriately called “Snow Dancer” it comes with the leotard, mesh over sweater, legwarmers and ballet shoes. It’s so very sweet. The lovely fair skin is a Winter Fair exclusive from Mirror’s Enigma called Nixie (Winter Natural).

The Winter Fair had a few hiccups due to some sim problems yesterday but the sim is up and running and filled to the brim with spectacular winter delights!

The Winter Fair opens December 1st offering you a plethora (yeah look at that big 10 dollar word!) of winter delights. And the Silver Lining Hunt is in full swing with tons of festive goodies to be had!

We’ll start off with the cute little houndstooth coat from .:[NMD]:. which is one of their exclusive items at the Winter Fair. .:[NMD]:. proves that there is still a place in SL fashion for well made system and sculptie items. I simply adore this coat! It also comes with the white tights I’m wearing, and there are matching houndstooth boots that are sold separately.

The comfy pair of knit uggs from Intrepid are 5L when you find them in the Silver Lining Hunt. Stunned? IKR? 5L! They are more than worth it, they’re super cute and keep my toesies cozy!

No visit to a winter wonderland would be complete without a suitable pair of gloves and a nice warm hat. Mine are from Tentacio and are available exclusively at the upcoming round of XY Room which begins on December 1st. This will be the last round of XY Room until February, so be sure and stop by!

I’ve been around Second Life for some time now, I have had different avatars and lived different SLives. Each and every one of them has been inspiring in its own right. However, I always find myself being drawn back to a time when I was involved in the SL music scene and inspired by the ridiculous amount of talent that dwells within it. One of my very favorite musical artists is PM Bookmite (musician Phillip Mitchell in real life). The man can write a song, wrap it around his little finger, and twist and bend it until it takes on a life of its own.

One of my favorite songs is off of an album called Therapy. The name of the song is simply… Love. Grab your tissues ladies, it’s a tearjerker.

I’ve just started a fun new dealy over at [SL] Blogger Support called Inspire Me. Basically each week I’ll put out a list of blog prompts, one for each day, with the hopes of encouraging people to blog daily, or at least to get them over a hump if they’re stuck.

Monday’s prompt for this week is “Unforgettable Quotes.”  Usually I’m all over the place with inspirational and encouraging quotes, but the photos I took have inspired me to lean more towards the comical side of the fence this time. Busted and Bustin’ Out the Goodies!

Hi guys, I have been a baaaaad blogger by neglecting you, but believe me it was a much needed break. I am all rested up and ready to tackle the upcoming holidays!

The Scene

The Outfit

Today’s outfit is a hodge podge from different shops that I know and love and some new one’s too. D!va hair has fast become one of my favorite places for hair, and I’ve worn this Jina style for blogging before, but I keep going back to it because it’s so sweet and fresh. I’ve added the latest XY Room headband offering from .charme. to give it a festive touch. I just love it! My tunic is from Mimi Noire. Mimi Noire is a newer shop to me, and I am anxious to see what other goodies will come from them.  My necklace is from Maxi Gossamer. Honestly, I gush about Maxi’s stuff so much here and on Plurk, I don’t think there is really any more I can say except that her work is fantabulous!  I was first introduced to Apparence skins by one of Strawberry Singh’s blog posts and I have been a fangirl ever since. Each release is more lovely than the last, and the lips are just to die for. The pants are from J.H. Couture. I find myself wearing J.H. Couture almost daily, Jada is my goto designer for gorgeous, wearable and fashionable everyday clothing. Now for the boots. THESE BOOTS… are my new love affair. GoS has outdone himself, really. I love them so much that despite the dent in my pocketbook, I had to buy them in 2 colors!

Who Will Tell My Fairy Tale?

“Every man’s life is a fairy tale written by God’s fingers. ” Hans Christian Andersen I love that quote. To me that means that inside each of us is a story, if we are just brave enough to let it be told. I’m trying to work up the courage to tell my tale, the beautiful and the sordid. It’s a scary thought… to lay one’s soul bare for all to see.  I’m hoping to sign up for a writers retreat this Winter and reach inside the dark crevices of my mind and extract those memories and string them all together. I’ll let ya know how that works out.

So, back to fashion. How cute is this hair from D!va? I am really in love with it. I just keep thinking of all the fun I can have by adding different hair ornaments to it! The shirt/dress is a sweet little thing from Anymore Flowery mesh shirt/dress for XY Room. In the photo above I paired it with the Giselle Mesh Cardigan from J.H. Couture so you can see how it will easily migrate from season to season. Now, about this skin from AUX. I saw a preview photo of it on Plurk and could hardly wait to get inworld to grab it up! The skin and hair are currently available at October’s Collabor88! Hurry and get them before they’re gone!

I know, I know I said I was on vacation but, I had taken this photo before my mom got here and I needed a little creative therapy tonight.

Since we’re all getting into the festive Halloween mood, I did a little horror film photo for today’s outfit. i swear, the THINGS I do for the sake of BLOGDOM! Looks like I got a little too “jiggy with it” on the sofa and the springs popped out and impaled me. Talk about a sucky day, huh?
