Basic B*tches: A Skittles Meme

Ms. Unicorns and Rainbows herself (Skittles) decided that she was going to give us a meme to chew on and this is one that I actually found quite easy to do! Our mission, to blog about the basic items we can’t leave home without in SL. Easy peasy, right?

For the record, these shots have mucho minimal editing because I wanted you to get the true flavor of the items I’m wearing. <3

We’ll start at the top and work our way down, yes?

Hair: Up until recently I was strictly a Truth kinda girl. In brown’s I wore espresso, in red’s I wore Jupiter and since I’ve gone blonde, Oasis is my go-to color. Lately though I find myself wearing more and more Exile hair (American Woman in Vanilla shown above).

Skin: I will admit, I have a skin collection that rivals Lucie Bluebird’s, but in the past year I have pretty much been a straight Izzie’s girl, with the occasional daliance with Aux and Glam Affair. However, last night I purchased my very first Laura Hurley skin (Lina in Milky shown above) and I think I now have a new everyday favorite.

Shape: Mine – ever changing and all mine.

Eyes: Well, I’m not much of an eye person. I’m kind of lazy at it really. I mostly wear Curio‘s Tragic Ocean eyes because well… why not?

Lashes: Ok, I may be the only blogger on the planet that fails at mesh eyelashes but I cannot, for the life of me, get them to look good in a photo. My solution? I have this set of tattoo lashes that I got EONS ago in a skin set I got from Curves Shapes and Skins, and I just love them. The one’s I wear the most are Lashes 3.

Lips: I mostly wear a nude lip for everyday wear. A few months ago Izzie’s released a set of Glossy Lip Highlights that have become a staple in my beauty regime.

Jewelry: I rarely wear anything but Maxi Gossamer jewelry. I love Maxi’s style and the fact that she has a jewelry set for just about any outfit you can dream up. It truly is THE place to go for that perfect accent to a cute outfit. Today I’m wearing a favorite, the Marrakech Heart. This one also happens to be available in RL on Maxi’s Shapeway site!

Movin’ on down…

Undies: Ladies we have all been there, you’re wearing that cute new mesh dress, you’re at a party and you take a seat trying to look all cool and collected and HELLO… your cookies are out there for all the world to see! Mhmm, you know it’s true. I wear undies just about every single day in SL to avoid that kind of embarrassment. (Izzie’s Jolie Bra and Panties in Rose pictured above). Now, my favorite color is pink and as my dear friend Skylar likes to point out every single damn day, the pink panties don’t look much different from my cookies. Hence my new nickname, Cookie. Thank you Skylar.

Shoes: You will rarely, if ever, see me without my Gos shoes, or my Gos arched bare feet. (Gos Grace Sandles in Mirror shown above).

Can’t Fight the Seether!

I’ve been known to throw a temper tantrum or two, I’m not gonna lie. It’s been a while, but I dug deep and found my inner indignant teenagery self so I could fully embrace the new poses from Hopscotch, available at Zodiac!

I can throw down with the best of ‘em, huh? The poses are so much fun and are available exclusively at Zodiac, the Aries round!

CINEMA: The Build!

This evening I have been skipping down the aisles of the empty movie theater on steroids that is the Cinema build. We were able to take some photographs now that the build is perfected and I am SO excited to share them with you.

First, we’ll hit the concession stands and stock up on goodies! “I’ll have one of each please!”

Om nom nom!! The Cinema sponsors have provided us with plenty of nummy goodness to eat and drink! (Pose below is one of the Odyssey poses from Adorkable)

Cool… now to find a good seat!

Now shhhhh… I’m going to watch a nice sappy movie in the Film Noir theater and have a good cry. No talking!

I know, I know I said I was on vacation but, I had taken this photo before my mom got here and I needed a little creative therapy tonight.

Since we’re all getting into the festive Halloween mood, I did a little horror film photo for today’s outfit. i swear, the THINGS I do for the sake of BLOGDOM! Looks like I got a little too “jiggy with it” on the sofa and the springs popped out and impaled me. Talk about a sucky day, huh?

The cute mesh hoodie dress that is now permanently stained with my very own type-A is a newer release from Anymore. The hair is a super cute group gift from Vanity Hair, and my sweet pink mousey ears are one of the Arcade Gacha items from AUX.

Now, is there a doctor in the house? I need to be resurrected in time to blog for Cinema!!!

Manic Creativity

This has just been one of those weeks. Go, go, go! Nonstop. However I wanted to show you this super cute new outfit from S U G A R being offered at XY Room! And yes, ladies the boots ARE included. I wore this out to a party the other night and everyone droooooled over the boots. You can’t see it really well in this photo, but if you click through you can see the pretty design on the boot. Yes, I should have taken a photo of the boots separately but as I’ve said.. this week was CRAZY in RL. Forgive?

You can tell how cluttered my brain is lately by looking at the photo below!

I also wanted to show you another skin from Curves Shapes and Skins. I really, really love the way these skins photograph. You can also get a better look at Maxi’s super cool Raven Skull necklace. I swear that girl has creativity coming out of her pores! I’m always so excited to see what she comes up with next.

I might be a little more quiet than usual over the next week, my mommy is coming for a visit! YAY! So my time inworld will be limited, but I will be back!

You Heard Me, I’m an L’APH Girl

Sorry I’ve been neglecting you all. I had a death in the family and was out of town for a bit, but I am back and ready to blog. Have I told you how much I missed you?? Well, I did. So MUAHS! Now, to the goodies!

For the last month or so, I’ve been keeping tabs on designer Aphrodite Outlander. You see, I follow her on Plurk and she has been posting W.I.P (that’s “work in progress”) photos on her Plurk timeline, teasing us with visions of high quality, luxurious women’s apparel. I was so excited when she finally opened L’APH and I was able to slip into her garments! (Get your mind out of the gutter, will you!)

Take the gorgeous Eva dress, for instance. Completely va-va-voom, yet still incredibly classic and elegant. The dress is available in 12 colors, but I chose the black dress to set off my new hair from [e]! I paired the classy frock with red mesh leather heels, also from L’APH, and a cute as a button clutch from Izzie’s.

In this photo you can definitely glimpse the va-va-voooom of this outfit! The very detailed cleavage of my gorgeous Faith skin from Izzie’s gives the smexy factor a little boost. Have I told you how much I love this skin? I’m sure I have, but I’m going to tell you again. I love everything about it, from the breast shading options (cleavage and regular), and the freckle tattoos to the different eyebrow selections. She really did think of everything. Just above my luscious bosom is Maxi Gossamer’s Marrakesh Heart necklace. It’s no secret that I’m a Maxi stalker, I’m pretty sure there’s a restraining order out there somewhere with my name on it. But anyways, you can get this lovely little heart, with all of its exotic detail, at Collabor88!
