I really seem to be at a loss for words lately. For some reason I sit down to write, and the words just won’t come. However, I still feel the inspiration to take photos and visually share what is going through my mind.

I hope you all aren’t disappointed in my lack of writing these days. But, it is what it is.

Today I’m sharing with you a beautifully sleek black dress by Haste that is available until October 31st at the CINEMA event. The skin I’m wearing is Izzie’s offering for the Costume Ball event hosted by The Ego Co. it’s a wicked version of her new FuYu skin (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE). The skin came with an assortment of dark and devious lipsticks and lip glosses.

This past week Anymore released their version of Sugar Skull face tattoos to celebrate Día de losMuertos, or the day of the dead.

And one last FUN mention today! Available at a special price for Lazy Sunday (today only) is the new Picture Me Pretty halloween group pose called Trick or Treat! Personally I am in love with this pose and was fortunate enough to be asked to take the vendor photo, so here it is!

J.H. Couture has really brought her A-Game to the table. I have yet to see leather texturing as realistic as her latest leather jacket and skirt combo. Especially the skirt. It looks like that expensive soft leather with the heavy threading and I am never taking it off. Ok, I will take it off once it starts to smell… but ONLY then! *winks*

In the first outfit, I paired the J.H. Couture Lori Leather Skrit with one of the beautiful Ashima blouses from Zaara. The elegance of the blouse gives the outfit a classy, stylish look, and it happens to be available right now at Zaara’s location in CINEMA. It’s still going on, but hurry because it ends on the 27th and there is much awesomeness to be had!

In this next outfit I paired the same skirt with one of the sexy leather jackets, also from J.H. Couture. Underneath I added a playful leopard camisole from Grasp to give the outfit an edgier look. The jewelry on this one is from Maxi Gossamer, and kicks the sassiness up a notch, I think.

On both outfits I’ve worn the simply-freaking-gorgeous Selene boots from Lassitude & Ennui. I’m going to pretend they’re named after me. *grins* Not gonna lie, these are probably my favorite finds right now. They’re also available at CINEMA.

Boho Culture Fair: Like a Daydream

With all of the chaos in my life over the last year 1/2, I have drifted away from my musical roots. Perhaps if I’d clung to them a little more tightly, the turmoil would have been less damaging. But… I digress. A friend and fellow blogger, Billy, has helped me rediscover my passion for music and naturally it is flowing over into my little creative space here.

When choosing the song to compliment this outfit, I couldn’t help but go for a more 60′s vibe with a modern twist. Kind of like the outfit itself. Mirror Enigma did a lovely job on the dress and boots, creating lovely textures and shading that compliment the mesh modeling perfectly. The Step-Inside skin is just sweet. I fell in love with it instantly and with a touch of S U G A R’s blush, it gave me the apple cheeked, glowing look I was going for.  The skin and the outfit are both available at the Boho Culture Fair going on right now. The adorable dog tags from Maxi Gossamer are available at the CINEMA event, also happening as we speak!

Today’s post is focused purely on two awesome poses I discovered at Cinema 2012. Being a movie buff myself, as I was taking the photos and discussing them with one of my friends, the story of “Mr. Senator” was born.

This hot pose by Bounce This called Yield, featured at Cinema 2012. I wanted to do something a little different from the other photos I’ve seen with this pose, so I went for a contrast of innocence and corruption. I asked Jake to take on the role of “Mr. Senator”  and I was channeling the young intern “Ali” being called out of her house for an emergency “meeting.”  Seems like she’ll be tied up for a while. ‘Eh, see what I did there?

In this next frame, it seems that the Senator’s transgressions have been discovered and his perfectly coiffed trophy wife, “Brenda” looks more than a little unimpressed with his apology. Perhaps she should go Lorena Bobbit on his butt? The pose is by the fantabulous Adorkable Peapod and is called Surrender.

I am having WAY too much fun with all of the incredible poses and fashions from Hottie Cooterati’s Cinema 2012. I can honestly say that this event is incredibly inspiring! If you haven’t visited the event yet, make it a priority. You’ll be glad you did!

Now, here is my first attempt at a movie poster. I figured I’d jump on the bandwagon and give it a try! Now who wouldn’t want to have their soul reaped by this latex lovely, hmmm?

CINEMA: Invocation

Cinema 2012 has begun in earnest. The event is chock full of incredible goodies, including a boat load of SL’s best pose makers and creators. The photos below were taken with Evolve’s Invocation pose and prop set, an exclusive for the Cinema event. You couldn’t get me within a country mile of a Ouija bord in RL, but I figured it was safe enough in pixel form.
